ASTM D 4966, Standard Test Method for Abrasion Resistance of Textile Fabrics (Martindale Abrasion Test Method)

Scope: Covers the determination of the abrasion resistance of textile fabrics using the Martindale Abrasion Tester.

• Samples are laundered 3 times and then conditioned in atmospheric conditions for textiles
• Mount samples on machines
• Run machine until end point
• Record the number of cycles until end point
