Colorfastness to Crocking (AHFA or ACT Standards)

AATCC Test Method 8 Following ACT (Association for Contract Textiles) Voluntary Performance Guidelines for Upholstery Fabric or Wall-coverings.

AATCC Crock-meterScope: Determines the amount of color transferred from the surface of colored textile material to other surfaces by rubbing.

  • Sample is placed on crock-meter
  • A 100% cotton white fabric cloth is rubbed across the sample 10 times in the wet and dry state
  • The cotton cloth is evaluated for staining
