AATCC Test Method 106, Colorfastness to Sea Water

Scope: Measures the resistance of sea water of dyed, printed, or otherwise colored textile yarns and fabrics

• Sample is paired with a multi-fiber strip
• Saturated with a sea water solution
• Placed in a Perspirometer in an oven to simulate exposure
• Color change of the sample and staining of the multi-fiber strip is evaluated
