ASTM D 3597, Colorfastness to Solvent

Scope: Measures the resistance of solvent of dyed, printed, or otherwise colored textile yarns and fabrics

• Sample is paired with a multi-fiber strip
• Saturated with technical grade perchloroethylene
• Placed in a Perspirometer to simulate exposure
• Color change of the sample and staining of the multi-fiber strip is evaluated

 

AATCC Test Method 107, Colorfastness to Solvent (Following Water Method)

Scope: Measures the resistance of solvent of dyed, printed, or otherwise colored textile yarns and fabrics

• Saturated with technical grade perchloroethylene
• Placed in a Perspirometer to simulate exposure
• Color change of the sample and staining of the multi-fiber strip is evaluated
